For the android operating system 2.1. to install the keyboard go into your file manager and press on the .apk file. should be put into the root of your sd card so it can be read. after you install go into settings --> language and keyboard then select "Gingerbread keyboard"
When you go to type anything long press until "input option" comes up, after that all you need to do is select it.
